Same here. Only songs that I got /before/ WMM was installed work. (I had to go through thsi whole thing because my mom set that all basic programms weren't there) Thats why I stopped making videos D:Spottedbelly wrote:Mine won't accept music files at all, even from CDs. You wanna hear the epic saga? I don't care if you don't cause I'm gonna say it anyway. Like I said before, when I first wanted to make movies after joining Youtube as Darkstripe4ever, I went around asking people for systems that they used to make them. Dingoclaw was one of the first people I asked. He told me very nicely about WMM. I went to go find it in my harddrive system and, with great vain elation, found it. I eagerly put in pictures to a song that I had on a CD. After downloading the songs onto my itunes I went in there and tried to import the music file into the WMM. It said that I had the wrong URL (file type) and that I didn't have the right codecs needed. After a while I gave up and resorted to One True Media, (which is actually quite useful) and used that for a while. Still wanting to use WMM, I went online and searched for codecs. I downloaded multiple packages but to no avail. After a while I got an upgrade to my WMM, (it is now 2.6) and it looks awesome. Over time I got more computer smartz and searched for m4a codecs and downloaded packages but still to no avail again. I then searched codec ask forums and found a question that asked, "I have tried everything to get music files onto my WMM and it always says, 'your files do not contain the right file fromat (type)' Help!!!" I read the answer and it said to "download your CD files into Windows Media Player and then burn it into a WMM format." I did all that and to my not-dead-yet surviving elations it said blah blah.wma. I tried again to import a CD song ending in wma and then to my great sorrow, it now says and will forever more will, "your file is protected and can not be used."
