Spottedstar was wading in the shallows of the riverbank by the Thunderpath, wondering where the heck she was and how on earth she ever got there. That's when she saw a monster zoom by as usual, but a cat seemed to have been hit and was flung off the bridge and into the fast moving current below. Spottedstar blinked, stunned.

On a whim to help the cat, Spottedstar mapped out which way she would go, eyeing the currents and the rocks or any other obstacle to include in the mental path. With no worries or troubles she carefully let the river take her directly downstream and towards the victim. Using her long legs to paddle swiftly in the water, she was able to navigate over to where the cat was. She hissed and couldn't help but take in water as she saw the cat go under. Disabled momentarily from the gulp, she waited for the clenching in her heart to stop before she dived to retrieve the warrior. She grabbed her scruff and pulled her up, making sure that she had air. It was more then easy for Spottedstar to begin swimming with the load towards the shore.

Spottedstar blinked as she dragged the warrior up into the reed bed, trying to navigate around the mud, but found it impossible so then stopped trying. Thinking disdainfully about the Thunderpath, she let go of the warrior's scruff gently and saw Jadestream behind them. She yowled something unintelligible and Spottedstar meowed, "What are you talking about?" She paused to cough out some more of the water that she had taken in. With a paw, she massaged the young unconscious cat, hoping to build friction in her fur and get her heart beating again.

"You're lucky that I trained as a medicine cat in RainClan during my apprenticeship..." Spottedstar mumbled as she continued to work her paws over Angeltail's muscles, knowing that it would relax her joints and create warmth for her. Spottedstar winced as the warrior moaned. Which was the reason why she didn't become a medicine cat during the majority of her youth in RainClan. She couldn't stand seeing cats in so much pain, although she did love the aspect of helping them to feel better. With the so little resources that she had around her, Spottedstar tried to think back to what would be best to look for when it came to injuries like Angeltail's. From the looks of it, the RiverClan leader wouldn't be surprised if the ThunderClan she-cat had a broken bone or two.

Startled numbly by how she had seemed to have come-to and then blank out again, Spottedstar stopped massaging her and looked around her warily. The river was a bad place for the specific herbs she needed, and sadly, she didn't know exactly how to make poultices and such, when that was what she needed to do now. Wishing that Watersong was here, she continued to look about, growing more anxious.

Spottedstar hissed, startled. "Angeltail was hit by a monster and was knocked into the river. If it weren't for me, she would have drowned by now." The RiverClan leader added that in so Sunstar wouldn't she had attacked the young warrior. "It would do you well to look after her, or I after her while one of us tries to find a medicine cat."

Watersong opened her mouth in drink in the moist air, shuddering as it smelt tainted and fresh with blood. Her leaders' scent caught on the wind, and she bit her lip with a little gasp, starting down the incline towards the River. As a mixture of the clans came to her nostrils, she isntanly picked up the face, fearing a argument may have broken out.

Spottedstar sniffed Angeltail's limbs and tested them carefully with her paws. Her front leg was broken, and two of her ribs had cracked. Looking around, she reached over to a clump of reeds, and ripped them at the base. Then using her teeth and claws, she wound the stalks around the cat's leg, and then used it to also cover bleeding wounds. She wished that she had cobweb, but knew that wishing would do her no good.

Spottedstar growled as Angeltail passed out again. She lashed her tail, frustrated. With a frown she got up and went over into nearby forest, looking for cobweb. She found some quickly and padded back to Angeltail and put it on her bleeding wounds.
