Spottedstar split out of the ravine and up the rocky slope, blood caking her pelt. Cats below clawed and screeched at each other desperately. She barely had a second to breath before an enemy cat bowled her over from the side. They tussled, Spottedstar delivering a bite to the throat and getting a slash along her flank in return. The cat sped off and away in defeat moments later. Now prepared, she leaped back down into the ravine and into the chaos of the battle. Few of her warriors had time to speak, but by the looks of it, they were on the line of winning or losing. In dismay, the RiverClan leader saw an apprentice get overpowered by a rival warrior. She bounded over and knocked the tom off his paws and into the blood sucked mud. Writhing, he sprung up quickly and then sprinted away with his tail low and drooping. "Are you okay, little one?" Spottedstar asked the apprentice quickly. She nodded and found her bearings quickly before running off to join the fight again. Spottedstar then found herself fighting off a she-cat, fur bristling and haunches braced. Her tabby fur covered in long gashes, she spat, "RiverClan shall not win today, Spottedstar!" Claws flexing, the tortoiseshell RiverClan cat leaped at her adversary, teeth flashing in response.
Appearance:
She is a long and short-haired tortoiseshell she-cat with emerald eyes. Her face is splashed with ginger and black which breaks off at her neck with white. The rest of her body is a mix of traditional calico markings and spotted tabby markings. To be specific, she has teal lynx markings running down the length of her tail and legs. Spottedstar's main body frame is a dark blue (gray) with spotted tabby stripes which fade into her smoke tipped (colored) shoulders. In the color category, she lastly has a white underbelly with faded gray spots. All in all, she is really is a mix of all sorts of things, far from being a purebred breed. When it comes to her anatomy, her legs are long and so is her tail. She doesn't have the practical build of a RiverClan cat at all. Since she was bred in RainClan, her stature suits their genes more.
Personality:
Spottedstar... is a very complex feline. In her years she has been through very much and has seen many things beyond any warrior's normal routine. Through experience with others, Spottedstar tried to mend her personality to others benefit, never certain if she was behaving properly or if she was messing up. This was when she was young and first came to the forest Clans though. Before and after, she was herself. Herself as in, a helpful, solitary-natured young she-cat with great ambition and potential is what she is. While she has the tendency to be hot-tempered and pessimistic, she likes and looks up to people who have high goals and show tolerance. Yes, she can be kind of crazy, but normally when she isn't surrounded by friends there is a thick social shell around her that not even Mr. Sunshine could break through. Spottedstar really is a loner and is perfectly happy to tend to herself and spend her rainy days alone, thinking. Quick to adapt and kind to everyone, she, with her firm yet questioning belief in StarClan, continues to command RiverClan, but who knows? One day the past might come and revert this tortoiseshell she-cat to her roots.
History:
NightClan, agile and fierce, RainClan, quiet and ambitious, GrassClan, noble and careful, SunClan, cunning and swift; these are the Clans of which Spottedstar were taught about and raised around. In the tall precipices of RainClan territory, Spottedstar lived her younger years as a kit, apprentice and warrior. As Spottedbelly, she fought under the command of Heatherstar and went regularly to gatherings in the valley where the moon shone the brightest year round, season after season. Only when a hard rain struck the hills did life transpire into peril. It spiraled into the black and then Spottedstar found herself in the forests, barely aware of her past. The former Skystar had saved her from dying by offering her a place in the Clans. Quickly after, Purestar took her under her command in RiverClan and gave her the position of deputy. No later, right before Purestar left, it was revealed to the tortoiseshell she-cat that somehow, Moonstar, Purestar, and her were sisters. It made no sense to her and rejected this line of pedigree for a time until Purestar had disappeared. As memories came back to her slowly of her past life, she began to piece it together and then accept her heritage without dispute. During all this, she had had kits with a ThunderClan warrior. It almost cost her the position of leader. Spottedstar was able to maintain both roles though as the two parts played out. She had four kits, two went to live with their father in ThunderClan while the other two stayed with her to become warriors in RiverClan. Their names were Sunstripe and Wolfrun. All was peaceful, even after the great predicament with ShadowClan between all the Clans over Furystar. Until, the war and the great epidemic ebbed her kit's lives away from her. The RiverClan leader had gone into a taciturn but had no time to mourn. The great flood totaled her Clan's camp and swept away most of their prey, but no one died fortunately. RiverClan is still recuperating and is now faced with the problem of toxins in the river from the destruction of the twoleg habitat up stream. All through out, normal warrior life plays out, sharing tongues and hunting and patrolling the territory. It's only through these sparse times of normalcy that Spottedstar maintains to keep her head.
Other:
Spottedstar has multiple mementos from past battles and scuffles, whether they be dignified or not. For instance, she has one thin white scar that runs down her jaw from a fight with a fellow warrior in RainClan. Other scars mark her tail and legs and haunches just like any other senior warrior. She doesn't take much pride in them but she sees each one as a necessary blow to shape her into the fighter she is today.
Sometimes the mind, for reasons we don't necessarily understand, just decides to go to the store for a quart of milk.
