For centuries the four Clans have been in peace with nature around fourtrees, and although the occasional border skirmish would arise, the cats were under a golden moon. No blood-spilling or rivalry had been wreaking havoc on the Clans. ThunderClan was at peace with ShadowClan, and RiverClan and WindClan were fruitful.
The seasons change, and leaf-bare settles onto the forest. Hardships are always brought with the turn of the full moon into cold days, but more tension is in the Clans then usual. Harsh snowstorms are bringing about greencough in RiverClan, killing off prey in ThunderClan, and entrapping WindClan in their own camp. It becomes worse as it gets colder and colder by the shortening days. Cats are beginning to accuse enemy Clans of stealing, and battles are even erupting within the Clans themselves.
The turn of the season; will it bring peace once more? Or will it only make things worse? Not much promise for a change in attitudes as the brittle season is coming to its end. Of course, there are still many moons until leaf-bare is over, so the real question is, can the Clans hold out until then?
