Razorstar walked over to the highrock and said to graystar " well shall we go in and talk? " he flicked his tail at the den.

Graystar nodded and went inside where he sat in his nest and motioned to a make shift that he had made for visitor and motioned for Razorstar to sit then turning to him he said "so what is this bussiness about kits that you have come to me with?" he asked inquireingly

" you already know that steelkit is my son and you have found two kits in the woods that i guessed you saw the resemblence in them and steelkit , now i know i should not have done this but there were no queens in windclan to take care of them so i had to take them here because we are friends, also i want to give you something for rasing these kits for me " he told the thunderclan leader.

"I know" he said "for they bared a striking resemblance to steelkit, now steelpaw, and I recognized a trace of your scent on the breeze that day, even though the kits had been washed clean you were standing upwind" "I had wondered why you had done it and found out the next gathering when I hardly saw any queens from your clan let alone any to take on newborn kits and you knew that my mate had just had a litter of her own."pausing he said " but I know all ths so why have you come back?"

" because i want my kits graystar " he said trying to contain the joy that his kit was an apprentice and he then told graystar " and because you have raised my kits i would like to give you a piece of windclan territory for the next moon ". " oh and how long has steelpaw been an apprentice? "

Trying to hold back his shock to Razorstars Question he said "he is very close to his warriors ceremony and will be an excellent warrior when his time comes" hoping to give some joy to his friend by saying this he then continued "but Razorstar even though I would appreciate extra prey thunder clan hs enough to survive on and you're clan would need its prey too and im telling you this as a friend, but furthermore I dont know that these kits should go with you"

Razorstar flicked at his words. " graystar we have plaenty of prey so i would like you to use the part of moor by the stream next to the river ".

" i'm sorry to hear this graystar, but may i at least see them? " he asked the thunderclan leader in a whisper as if all nine of his life were torn away.

Graystar thought for a moment and almost thought he would die at the note of desperation in his voice do any know that your there father" he asked

" steelpaw does, i use to vis... " razorstar stopped before he finished what he was saying and then he said " steelpaw was probably told by his mother but i'm not sure about falconkit and grasskit " he told him

Finchfeather waited outside of Graystar's den, angling her ears away so she wouldn't accidentally overhear them. ThunderClan cats shot her nasty glares as they went about their business, and though she was ranked above them, her head sank to her paws in dismay.

As Graystar looked at the new leader of windclan he couldn't imagine the sadness that he saw in his eyes and couldn't imagine if he would have to live without his kits snowkit and nightkit. He looked at Razorstar and thought of something he could do "Razorstar" he said "Im sorry but without a doubt teelkit is staying for hes half thunderclan and he is close to his warriors ceremony, the other kits however have no idea you're their father but they have only been apprenticed for one moon so it might not be to hard to switch their training." Pausing he looked at his friend and said "I'll let them decide if they feel they have ties to you and never really felt to attached to thunderclan then I dont want to make them stay against their will especially when they find out your their father. All the same if any decide to stay because they have grown up here you must accept their decision" he then quickly touched noses with his friend and layed his tail on Razorstars shoulder "By th way" he said "You are a very caring father I know it must have been hard to leave your kits all those moons ago" with this he turned and said "come let us go talk with them Suncloud should be back by now" with that he turned and waitedfor razorsatr to follow and reply on what he had said.

" Graystar wait, i would like to see my kits but i have decided that they should stay in thunderclan " he said to the thunderclan leader. " I would not wish for my kits to be torn between clan " he fiished what he was saying and padded out of the den.

"RAZORSTAR WAIT! are you sure you wish to do this" graystar said unsurely for he was struggleing with his feeling and duties as being a leader but also battleing with his feelings as a father and couldn't imagine being separated from his kits. Then he said more calmly "Are you sure you dont want to see what they think for now might be the only chance for them to decide to come with you since there only 7 moons old."

" graystar i know you don't want to give them up because they are thunderclan cats now, even if they have windclan blood they are true thunderclan warriors and i would not want them to haft to fight there old clanmates if they did come and join me. " besides... your glad there staying and not coming with me " he said to graystar.

"Razorstar While I'd be happy if they stayed its not my decision its theirs and whats makes me glad and wht makes you happy aren't the same things. As a leader I say they should stay," then looking his friend in the eye he said "But as a father I say you should at least talk to them and see if they want to go, for they have always wanted to go exploreing and falconpaw is one fast cat just like his father" He said with a smile.

Razorstar padded over to his kits falconpaw and grasspaw and said " hello young apprentices you probably don't know who i am do you " he asked them with a calm voice.

Grasspaw: (head cocked to one side) No. but you smell like rabbits, I like rabbits.

Graystar watched and uttered an amused purr

Falconpaw: I dont know who you are but you smell like windclan I learned their scent a few days ago (he said proudly)

" Well thats whonderful " he said, his eyes glowing. " i'm leader of windclan, and i'm your father " he told them

Razorstareyed the thunderclan leader then turned to his kits " look at our pelts don't they look the same with the same silver fur and white lines? " he asked them

The apprentices turned to look at each other with shocked stares and confused faces as they examined their pelts could he be right they wondered?

Slowly Graystar stepped foward "its true" He said "I found you when you were cery young and though I love you as if you were my own this is your real father and one of my best friends" he turns to look at razor and then toward the apprentices "there were no queens to look after you in Windclan so me and your mother agreed to take care of you when Razorstar left you for me to find here in thnderclan territory"

" i'm sorry but i did what was best for you two and your brother by leaving him with his mother and you two in a clan that could care for you when windclan could not but now i'm asking you to come back with me " he said to the two young apprentices and then he realized he accidently said steelpaw was there brother.

Gasp said both the apprentices
Our brother he asked questioningly?

Steelpaw is your brother Razorstar is his Father and Jadestream is his mother but he's chosen to live in Thunderclan, however you to are both windclan and you may go with your father if you would like to live in windclan with him and someday be the proudest windclan warriors you can be"

Grasspaw went up to raor and began to sniff hi fur "He's right he is our father Its faint but I can recognize his scent from long ago like a dream"

Falconpaw looking excited thendoubtfull turned to Graystar "Could we really leave and be with our father what about you and thunderclan"

"I will be fine and love you two no matter what you choose if you feel that your heart belongs with your real father in windclan then you may go.

Turning back to his father and nuzzleing him on the shoulder he said "I'll com I have always had a taste for rabbit and its harder to run in the woods"

"Then I'll come too" she said nuzzleing her father."
