Riverclans Quest for Catnip

Graystar was out hunting near sunningrocks on his side of the border between thunderclan and riverclan he was just stalking a vole when he suddenly scented a riverclan patrol upstream, not paying attention he stepped on a twig and his vole scurried away mouse dung he muttered well might as well see what riverclan is up to he siad as he padded upstream. After a few pawsteps he turned and saw his friend Pouncewing stepping up lightly he said "Greetings Pouncewing how is the prey running" as he said this he subconciously wondered what was this cat doing so close to the border.

"Greetings Graystar, prey is running well. But I am here to ask if I may cross the boarder to take some catnip near the twoleg place?" Pouncestar asked.

(OCC:this is for the rp Kitty-pets)

"hmm we should have some to spare but I dont know" After thinking a moment he said " there should be enough in twolegplace so I geuss we could spare some to riverclan" he said turning back to his friend "so did spottedstar send you" he asked

(OOC: yes this is for the kittypet rp aand gray doesn't know pounce is leader yet.)

"No, I needed to take a walk so I thought I would come to ask. And shes Spottedbelly now, Im Pouncestar." Pouncestar mewed

"Ohh, well congratulations I'm sure you will lead your clan well as for the catnip follow me" Graystar then turned and headed toward twolegplace with pounceStar.

"Thank you." Pouncestar followed Graystar

After a while they came to a twoleg fence come they're should be catnip on the other side" but just as he was about to jump he heard his name called from the dirrection of camp "Dad!" it was his kit Nightkit.. "Why aren't you back in camp with your sister" I wanted to track" You he said Graystar turned to Pouncestar " I have to take hyim back get the catnip and I'll meet you at the border to see you off and NO stealing Prey" he added as he turned to go He didn't think pounce would steal prey but he just wanted to make sure.

Pouncestar walked towards the catnip and started to pick some. After he gather enought he headed towards the boarder, but before he left he scented something strange. He walked towards the scent and noticed a large group of cats with one cat at the top of a box. He raced towards the boarder fearfull of what may happen if he was caught.

As Graystar walked back to camp with his son he knew he would have to talk to him. " so why didn't you stay at the nursery with your sister"

Nightkit: Well I was Bored and then so I went looking for you and when I saw you leave camp I thought I would see if I could track you. Did I do well?"

He fixed his son with a hard stare for a moment but knew he couldn't stay mad at him, "Yes you certainly did but next time stay in the nursery I dont want to lose you and until you're apprenticed its not safe for you out here."

mustering up the courage he finally asked his dad what was bothering him..." Hey dad who was that cat with you I haven't seen him in camp is he a kittypet?"

Gray tried to hide a puurrrr of amusement "No that was Riverclans new leader, He needed catnip and we have plenty so I let him have some." Gray stopped as he saw his sons astonishement "Dont worry, I've known pounce for a while I trust him and unless he wants battle with thunderclan after he just became leader he wont try anything funny." they walked a bit more till they came to the ravine "all right you go gt some rest and I have to go meet up again with Pouncestar"

"Can I Come...PLEASE."

"No but I'll see you when I get back after all you are getting a bit big for the nursery and did a pretty good job tracking so I may have an apprentice ceremony to arange soon." Wiht that he heade offback toward the border and turned to see his son dip his head as he went into the camp. Excited about what his father had planned.
