“Ah, fuck”
“What’s wrong, nii-san?” Alphonse flipped around to see a stretched elastic hanging from his brothers hand. People slowly moved around them, frowning, as the brothers created a road block in the thick flow of rush hour.
“Give me a second Al. Gotta fix it...” the stunted alchemist deposited it onto the bench and clapped his hands together, attempting to transmute it back to its original state. He waited for the flash of alchemy and scowled at the lack of light. “What the hell?” he lifted his hand to look at the bench, to find stretchy elastic gone.
“Dammit! Al Give me yours... mine fell through the rungs”
“No! Come on, nii-san. You’re being a road block. We have to get to central!”
“Fine.” Edward marched after, grumpily running his fingers through his messy hair with a pout on his face. His golden gaze didn’t lift from the elastic that held his brother’s hair firmly in place, and he longed to snatch it for his own use.
“Hey Al, wait a second.” he grabbed his brother’s waist, fishing one hand under the hem of the younger’s pants with a grin.
“Nii-san what are you doing?!”
Ed ignored him and shimmied further up his brother’s boxers so the hem slid just over his navel.
“Stand still.” he muttered sharply. He snapped his hands together, placing two fingers on the band, and transmuted it to his liking.
“……” the younger brother turned around slowly using his new found death glare to scare away the onlookers, “Nii-san…. You transmuted the elastic in my boxers for a hair tie?”
He smiled brightly back as he began to braid his hair, the band dangling from his mouth.
“Maybe.”
