Sunrise (dont read unless you've read sunrise)

omigosh! thats super sad. i feel ultra sad now....i mean there was so many deaths and then....ugh, it was just so heart breaking... SIGH. i wanna reread it but not becuz theres so many lies and so many....erg!!! >:O hollyleaf is just stupid, its good that she died but its so traumatic cuz jayfeather and lionblaze witnessed it and its all written sorta in jayfeather's 'eyes' so its lik....one paragraph! :O im so sad now....

For some reason I hate all the main characters of PoT. Well Lionblaze is sorta okay but he's too arrogant, Jaywalk, *Shrug* *Hollyleaf* Dead.
I think Erin Hunter is running out of ideas...

XD yeah, i think wenever its jayfeather's turn for her to right about, its always boring to me becuz he cant see. nect thing you kno she's gonna have a main character who's death, or mute, or dead. oh wait. she already did... whoopdedoo!!

i think its sad that honeyfern died.. and sad that hollyleaf lost her freaken mind and went all crazy pschopath on everyone.

IN-DEED. hollyleaf really creeped me out though...i felt bad wen honeyfern died cuz she and berrynose were JUST talking about having kits with each other. o.o ew that sounded weird....

Honeyfern's death made me cry; I mean, five seconds before she was bit by the snake her and Berrynose were talking about having a family! How sad is that?

Hollyleaf... I actually was impressed with how Erin Hunter was able to carry out her character like that. The ending was very dramatic, and how the secrets were unveiled... very good. I especially was surprised when Hollyleaf admitted that she killed Ashfur. I seriously didn't see that coming.

But I like her character. I don't know... I guess I favor the characters that are beyond that 'perfect little obedient warrior who believes in StarClan and blah blah blah' frame of mind and being.

... When characters snap they gain a whole lot more depth, in my opinion.

I agree with razors first comment and was SAD WHEN HONEYFERN DIED!!!!! IT NOT FAIR!!! plus I previously had hated berrynose for acting so high and mighty about things but then they fell in luv and then death and trama and and and now I just cant hate him because hewas beeing so sweet.
oh and yes hollyleaf had to die she was going totally psycho and was kind of a hypocrit in telling others to stick to the warrior code while she broke it.
I really like jayfeather though and lionblaze but he needs to kill tigerstar I dont care that he's already dead and then he needs to fall back in love with that windclan cat whos name escapes me I think it was heather something .
my only other disagreement with whitewings kit thing is it doesn't really go with the prophecy because it said three kin of your kin to firestar which would technicaly mean cloudtails kits not cloudtails kits kits.??? I think unless the prophecy said kin of your kins, kin-I think!

It was 'kin of your kin', so Whitewing's kits being included in the prophecy makes sense.

I never really hated Berrynose; it did get on my nerves though how he was sort of bossy and rude. But I really couldn't dislike him... He's too much like Dustpelt and Cloudtail. Those two are slightly arrogant and snappy (like Berrynose), but they're still good characters capable of loving emotions.

You guys need to give Hollyleaf a break! Although that's coming from the girl who thinks Darkstripe is a better character than Firestar. But really, Hollyleaf is an amazing cat in depth and motive; she is different. Yes, she may be crazy and other things, but if you think about her personality and such she becomes a very agreeable character. Just because she wasn't the purest of minded cats doesn't mean that she deserves hate... Actually, in my opinion, Erin Hunter deserves praise for establishing that change from protagonist to antagonist; it's pure genius in Hollyleaf.

oh i get it!!! spotz is right, the kits are kin of firestar's kin... it say kin of your kin and they are kin of firestar's kin..... dang i feel stupid now xD but hollyleaf was still a psycho >.> but i wish she had stayed.... it would have made things more interesting

BECAUSE SHE IS PHSYCO I LIKE HER. I'm trying to say that because of the abrupt temperament change and switch of views that she is a great character.

Oh no spotz I agree Hollyleaf made a great character and it was pretty cool on how erin hunter turned her character around and such but she is still psycho thats all and on the whole kin of kin thing oy gray is now very confused.

'There will be three kin of your kin who will hold the power of the stars in their paws.'

That was the prophecy basically directed at Firestar. It states that Firestar's kin will be 'more powerful than StarClan'. Now, to begin with, kin means one's relations or family. It doesn't have to be a direct line, like father to daughter to grandson, what have you. All it really means is that three of Firestar's relatives will have the power of the stars in their paws.

Whitewing and Birchfall's kits being included in the prophecy isn't all that far-fetched once you have that knowledge. First, the prophecy doesn't specifically state names or a certain generation; it only says 'kin of your kin'. That could mean any of his family so long as the tree goes on. Second, Whitewing is the daughter of Cloudtail and Brightheart. As we all know, Cloudtail was the offspring of Princess, Firestar's kittypet sister. He was adopted into the Clan; most know the story. But if you follow that generic branch down the line it does whittle down to the kits Dovekit and Ivykit. So, the kits may not be Firestar's direct descendants, but they are still related to him.

Lastly, the reason why Hollyleaf, Lionblaze, and Jayfeather weren't the three, in my hypothesis, is that Hollyleaf was corrupt in a way; we all know what she did, so on and so forth. They really just weren't the ones. Although, one may question that Whitewing only had two kits, and Lionblaze and Jayfeather are still there, so where/who is the third cat to hold the power of the stars? Well, at the end of the book Jayfeather said, and I quote, "We aren't the only kin of Firestar's kin. It doesn't matter which of Whitewing's kits is the one. There are still three of us!"

Once you break all of that down it isn't that hard of a concept to grasp.
