It almost seemed the day turned into the opening of oblivion, where everything around the world, was turning black. There was a bloodthirsty battle cry, swords clashed and arrows pierced. The sound of death rung across the whole valley of oblivion.
I could hear my comrades screaming, their battle cry was deafening, but I lay on the ground helpless. Beside me there was another figure, I couldn’t tell if it was a male or female, but it seemed to be looking straight at me with deadly calm eyes. Two spear like objects stuck out of its back, impaling it. It reached out its feeble arm towards me, begging me to come back, but I ignored it and kept on striving forward, with only one thought my mind, “Must… Live.”
A hand reached out and hurled me out of the pit. She flung my arms over her shoulders and started walking towards the horizon.
“Cant you walk by yourself?!” the figure said and the world came to me.
The sun blinded my eyes and I couldn’t see who want helping me, but whatever was happening… I knew that we had to get out of here fast…
We took another step when a huge shadow loomed across the land. The women beside me looked up with horror in her eyes. My eyes soon followed to see a demonic shadow engulfing the surface, devouring light with its monstrous aura.
It was gathering light energy, forming an incandescent orb of light. I realized what it was doing and quickly turned around facing the demon. I reached behind my back to grab hold of a handle of a gargantuan sword. I swung it out of its loose sheath and planted it in front of me.
I turned my head and said to the girl, “Hold on to me tightly.”
“What?!” She protested but understood what I was doing.
Her arms embraced my waist firmly and held on. I anchored my foot on the ground against the massive sword and put my whole body against it. With one arm grabbing the handle I braced for impact.
I closed my eyes as the darkness grew into an eclipse of light and shadow. I swear I could see the figure that was with me a moment before. It was looking at me again, but this time with eyes of sympathy. It opened its mouth and silently said, “I forgive you.”
I opened my eyes in confusion again, but this time, I couldn’t see. The light in the area was gone. I could still feel the girl’s arms, her breathing and the firm grip of my sword, but I was blinded. A violent, yet magnificent ray of obliteration was blasted out against the world; I couldn’t hear my own scream or anyone else’s, just the plain dissipation of my soul.
