To Carry on His Dreams
Prologue
The Last Gift
A dying man lay across a hospital bed, cold as ice, and a boy was sitting by his side, brushing away his tears. The day was evil, and no light could penetrate the darkness of the clouds. Not even the sun’s brilliant, incandescent light couldn’t break the barrier.
“My...boy…” The man squeezed out his words, “This…will…be… the last…of me… but you… shall carry on… my dreams…”
He lifted his hand weakly, and touched the boy gently on the head. He muttered a strange word under his breath, and than suddenly a rapid blast of wind struck the room as if a mini tornado had blown into it. However, nothing in the room changed, even the water in the flower pot didn’t move, as if time had stopped.
When the boy opened his eyes, the body was breathless, and pallid. The boy didn’t move either, but was breathing very slowly. A beam of light struck through the fortress of darkness, and led into the window of the room. As if the heavens above were taking the dead man’s soul. The gap grew bigger, and the light bathed the room with bright colors. The fire of the universe, shone upon the hospital now, and the blackness was fading away.
The boy looked up now with watery eyes, thought of the memories he had; exacerbating the great sadness he had in him. He tried to deny the fact that the man was dead, but the pain was too much, and he couldn’t bear it. The boy got up, and walked briskly to the door.
“Good-bye” the boy said “Father”
Chapter 1
Two years have past since his father died, Sky Crathmore was his name, he was standing outside on his balcony of his house, starring outside to the horizon where the sun was laying static. The wind soared through his orange-brown hair, simultaneously, making his deep brown eyes squint. He had plenty of time to get to his high school, Tragburfy High, and his friend, Tyler Sancrova, would be waiting.
